"Ever tried? Ever failed? No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better." -- Samuel Beckett
Why is that most people fear making mistakes? What would happen if we all embraced the mistakes we have made and recognize that the past errors and negative experiences do not set us back but actually move us forward? With a slight mental mind shift we can view these shortcomings/setbacks as feedback for growth. When you criticize yourself for making mistakes you are giving power to your past mistakes. Look at your mistakes as a lesson learned; a probing curiosity. Acknowledge the successful aspects of the attempt, learn what you can and move on. Don’t continually relive and regret them. You are responsible for your own success. Take responsibility for your mistakes and failures and by doing so you will gain power and influence.
